The event starts on:
14 January 2025
Events, News
On 14-15 January 2025, the SAFE-CITIES project team convened at Egaleo Town Hall in Athens for two days of productive discussions and planning. This meeting marked a key moment in the project as we reviewed progress, assessed ongoing initiatives, and prepared for the final demonstration, scheduled for six months from now.

Key Highlights:

  • Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) Framework: Developed using participatory methods and security-by-design principles to address risks in public spaces effectively.
  • Innovative Software Tools: Created to evaluate vulnerabilities and simulate dynamic threat scenarios using serious gaming technology.
  • Accessible Dashboards: Designed to provide actionable and user-friendly insights for enhancing urban safety.

Preparatory Workshop for the Final Demonstration

The second day of the meeting focused on preparations for the Final Demonstration, which will take place in early spring in Gorizia and Nova Gorica, the 2025 European Capital of Culture. This event will showcase our solutions, demonstrating how public spaces can be made safer and more welcoming for everyone.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all organisers and participants who joined us in Athens and online. Your dedication and collaboration are crucial to the success of the SAFE-CITIES project and to building safer, more resilient public spaces.
